Buckskin to Cremello/Perlino will give you the same chance for a single dilute (buckskin/palomino) as breeding the Buckskin to a Chestnut stallion.

Buckskin + Cremello (assuming the buckskin is hetero for black & agoti and the creme is not carrying agouti)
12.5% buckskin
12.5% perlino
12.5% smokey black
12.5% smokey creme
25% palomino
25% cremello

Buckskin + Chestnut/Sorrel (assuming the buckskin is hetero for black & agoti and the chestnut is not carrying agouti)
12.5% buckskin
12.5% bay
12.5% smokey black
12.5% black
25% palomino
25% chestnut

So, if your goal is Palomino, just be sure to breed to a red based stallion that isn't gray or roan. You will have a 25% chance for Palomino no matter what color of red the stallion is. A liver or dark chestnut (or any other noticably dark shade of red) is thought to give you a better chance for darker shades of palomino, but it's only an estimate.

The only way to have 100% Palomino is breeding a Cremello to a Chestut. For 50% Palomino chances you can breed a Palomino to a Chestnut, Cremello to Palomino, or Palomino to Palomino. All three combinations will give you 50% chance of a Palomino foal.

Gosh, I feel really dumb. It for some reason didn't occur to me that she could end up with a double dilute. Oops!

Good point JBandRio, if you have not already tested the mare I would test her to find out if she is homozygous or heterozygous black. We have all of our mares tested and test all of our foals.
