chickens?

My mom's friend from work gave us 2 chickens a few years ago. At the beginning, the things on the top of their heads/under chin were REALLY red.
Now, the rooster's is still really red, but the hen's is like a fadded orange.
Is that normal for chickens? lol
(They're Rhod Island Reds, if that matters)

I have Rhode Island Red chickens too. I wouldn't worry about, I think it's normal for chickens in general though not every chicken's fades.

I've had chickens for years now and I'm pretty sure that they only get that when they're growing, for the hens they usually go away. All of the chicks after like 2 or 3 weeks that those and then they went away. I think lol
