Check this out! Chestnut friesian!

I was searching the net for weird horse colors and found this. Here is the link to the whole story and everything.
This filly was proven to be full blooded Friesian too.

The site said that there were only 4 known chestnut Friesians in the world.I thought that was pretty neat. She's cute too.

Yep, the chestnut Friesians are very rare. I don't think that little baby is registerable or showable due to her colour. She's still pretty though

Yeah, I posted this once before, it's pretty neat. That mare got accepted into the registry but they won't let any of her babies be registered.

Even if she has a black baby? Why not?

The registry does NOT want non-black Friesians so I guess they're using the same principle and the Appaloosa Horse Club regarding solid Apps.

If you breed two black Friesians and the foal comes out chestnut...not much you could have done to prevent it so it can be accepted into the registry much to their dismay.
BUT if you purposely breed a chestnut Friesian that's unacceptable because then you're promoting non-black Friesians. The resulting foal might be black but is guaranteed to carry the chestnut gene and so be increasing the likeliness of chestnut Friesians in the future...can't have that now can we...lol!

Awww...what a cutie. Too bad she's undesirable. But lots of animals have that...serious breeders will drown white Boxer puppies because they are undesirable. Sad I know, but they don't know how else to stop it. Irresponsible people keep breeding them and registering the pups anyway.

You should do a search for brindle horses, there is a sight that has very strange horse colors (I would post the site, but I can't ever get the link to work). It's pretty interesting.
