Check out my horse's new ride:) pics up now

So I've had my little 2 horse trailer and that has worked well for me, but I've secretly dreamed of a 3 horse slant with a tack room and dressing area for awhile.

Well, I was out with the horses the other day and my neighbor drives up and says ' hey Beth, I just wanted to let you know that I'm selling my 3 horse slant with dressing room and tack room - let me know if you hear of anyone in the market"

So I mention to my hubby that afternoon that Jim had stopped by and BTW he has this trailer Much to my surprise, my husband said 'well, go buy it'!!
No way! Well, when he got home he said we should go look at it and when he saw the tack room - well, he was sold. We took it out for a drive and it handles so well and best of all...we can get three in!! We loaded Amiga up and she did great! She has had issues with my 2 horse since she had a wreck in it a couple years ago. Plus she is 16.1 hands and she doesn't think she really should be able to fit in there

Anyway, here is the new ride!!!! Yippee!!! We did a little cosmetic stuff to it with some spray paint so it matches my truck - but other than that - it's PERFECT!! It even has a hay rack on top!!!!! I'm just so excited I actually screamed!!!

I made the pics small for those with dial-up. So click on them to enlarge if you want

I too my daughter to horse camp today and figured since her horse was going I'd load a couple more in there and it was just like heaven!! My Amiga was nervous at first and pawed for awhile but by the time we got to camp 45 minutes away, she was fine Then we turned around and came home and they were great again. Had a little trouble unloading because it was such a 'long' way backwards, but after a couple tries, Amiga and Missy both had it mastered! I was so proud of them And such a pleasure to tow, even though it's was a heavy load, my truck exceded my expectations. Only about 11 miles to the gallon, but well worth it. I feel like I have moved up in the world. hahaha My husband is on vacation this week so we are going to take a couple horses up to the mountains to do some riding one day this week. WooHoo!! What an awesome blessing

Beth

I'm happy for you too, Beth.

You'll really like having a slant load. We've used one for many years and all the different horses that we've hauled in this style really like riding in it. Even did a 16 hour haul from Colorado without unloading (fed and watered) and arrived home with a horse as fresh as when we loaded him (and this was only a three year old).

Yes, what a special blessing - and when you least expected it! Enjoy.

I'm jealous. I can barely afford to get a car yet, let alone a trailer!
