Ok, my mom and I are going to a show Saturday, and we started a checklist of what we'll need... chairs cooler ice fruit drinks water- horses umbrella sunscreen fan/mist bottle saddles bridles rag brushes bucket helmet hunt coat walkie talkies old shirt Plus the obvious things. (i.e. Halter, breeches, show shirt, etc.) If you notice something we left out that would be important to bring, please let me know!! |

IF you are going to be there all day, which im assuming you are, i would suggest bringing one of those meal bars, or energy bars. I find that i dont have time for lunch even if my classes are spread out, and eating one of the bars helped ALOT!

ok, thanks! I have no idea how long it'll be. Gates open at 7:30 am, and the show begins at 9. Our first class is the second one. Then We have to wait through 25 western classes before my second starts. |

I always bring a horse first aid kit, because there was this time that another horse from my same stable kicked my horse and I had to scratch from alot of my classes until someone drove to the stable, got the med. and came back, then it had to kick in, and the swelling was gone basicly during where my Hunter over fences class ended.. (partially thanks to a cold compress) another good thing would be a spare halter.. my friend had a horse rear up (while tied) and it had the saftey halter that breaks when stuff like that happens, so the halter broke and she had to make one out of the strings that tie together hay bales.. (doesn't seem fun) OBTW: don't forget your own first aid either.. lol

If you go to www.useventing.com and then go through their menu until you find "forms" click on that. Then go to "event checklist". I live by that thing when I go to shows! If you don't event you will be able to cross off a couple of sections, but it is still a great reference guide! I used it for my dressage show last weekend. Good luck at your show!:-)

wow xmas that is a huge list, but pretty good. http://www.eventingusa.com/competiti...cklist2004.pdf You need to have adobe reader to look at it. Pretty good though!
