Champs Guthrie's 1st foal Solena MVF is a SMOKY BLACK SILVER !!! She was confirmed by UC Davis. I still can't believe it. We suspected that she might be but I am still amazed since there was just a 3.125% chance of that combination.

Woo Hoo!

Looks like we might have a couple more foals this weekend to. Angel is dripping milk and Soleil lost her mucus plug yesterday.

Hopefully I will have more photo of babies soon.

Good call on her MVF. I personally didn't think she was a black silver as she appears too dark to me. HOWEVER, cream and silver together are known for creating a horse darker than either gene would have by itself so it makes much more sense knowing she also has cream.

What a beauty and what a fantastic first result!!!

Love it.... once again it proves that you cannot use color tone to determine color when combined with black. Beautiful... I bet the new owners are thrilled.
