Unhappy Cat's had a relapse.

I just noticed last night, I think Cat's having a relapse.

She was doing very well. She could walk straight and turn in small and lagre circles without being "off" (but her trot was) so I was getting really excited. But last night, she couldn't turn in big circles. Walking is still fine, large circles fine, but small circles and trot are off again.

I think it's mostly becasue she was on DeFounder (chinese remedy) but it ran out almost a week ago. I called the vet, but she's out of town until next Friday.

I really hope one of her techs are in. At least we can get some more of the defounder.

I'm so sad by this. She was doing so well, and now she's almost back to where she started.

Thanks, but I keep feeling like it's my fault, that I should have gotten more of it before she left town or something.

Are you restricting her movement?? Have you followed all the guidelines listed out by The Laminitis Clinic?? They have posted their instructions because of the results of their studies.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, premature movement can and will cause damage.

She still has her grazing muzzle on majority of the day, hay is being soaked, etc...

What is Laminitis / Founder
If you haven't read that already, you really need to.

Stall. Foundered horses should not be free to walk about a pasture. Laminae damaged by blood restriction are in a precarious state. Any jarring can cause unnecessary breakage.

She should be stalled in deep bedding and have frog supports fitted.

Well she doesn't have the blood spots like in that picture, and she in no way stands like that horse.
