Cat's On the Fast Track Now! *We have a Filly!*

At morning feeding there were just two barely visible specks of wax on one of Cat's nipples. Throughout the day - no change, wax disappeared. At the evening feeding, no wax, no change and she ate every bite of food she was given. Two and a half hours later at about 8:30, she was dripping milk. Her vulva is cleaned, her tail is wrapped and she is standing with her tail slightly raised and off to the side.

Blue is right next door and appears to be coaching her through the grated wall...lmao. At one point they were both standing in the exact same position both holding their tails up and off to the side.

Cat's milk tests with high calcium and low pH. Blue's milk is testing low calcium and high pH. Blue is showing more signs of discomfort than Cat is though and doing a lot of side passing, butt scratching and constantly shifting her weight from one foot to the other in the back - doing the baby dance!

Just got the call - water has broke on Cat! Be back later!

My mare's having a foal? I was just outside and she was fine...

Just kidding! It is nice to know that there are other horses named Cat out in the world!

All jokes aside though, I hope everything goes well and that you have a happy and healthy baby soon!

It's a filly! And she is doing great! Super flashy with lots of white! Only have a couple pics tonight because I didn't want to freak her out with all the flashes from the camera. Yay!
