They look like they came through fine, can't wait for more updates! Are you still thinking of keeping them as cuddly barn cats?

Thanks everyone! It's a good kitten morning! I've fed them their breakfast and they don't seem any different than they were before. I'm glad. They want to be active already, they're probably going to protest loudly at not being let out of the crate today, but I don't want to risk Peanut's stitches. Our Tweek over did it after being spayed, and we ended up having to take her back in to be re-sewed.

I put down white towels in their crate so I could tell if they'd had any bleeding or drainage, and I think they look great.

Yes, we're keeping these two. I'm not sure they'll be nice pets that would be easy to place yet. They can be whatever they want. If they want to be in the house, they can be, if they want to go run with their mom and live in the barn, they can if she'll still have them.

Idlewild, your cat with her assortment of toys is very cute. I like that among all the store-bought toys there is an old sponge she probably loves even more.

WashingtonBay, our stories are almost the same! Love the pics. My surprise 5 are over a year old now and doing fine. In the morning as we go to the barn we are greeted by hi- 5 tails and the parade begins! We even have a dog guardian altho she is a Dobe she guards "her" cats from all evil! The cats come over the fence and become patio kittys every evening . Since I have bantys they also know don't touch the chickens ! It maybe more cats than we wanted but could part with none!

Glad the kitens made it through surgery okay!

Two more added to the family, now!

They look so sweet curled up together!

Pest - welcome to the thread, it sounds like we have a lot in common indeed! I haven't been on much lately, I was busy last week getting ready for our big garage sale blowout last weekend! Got rid of a lot of frap! And earned some money to buy some new frap. Well, necessary frap, a new entertainment center and new leather couch! Still looking for the couch but found the entertainment center last night.

I finally took some new pictures of the kittens! It's not easy, they're usually darting around the house in a blur when they are out!

Like this!

Little Peanut is particularly hard to catch, because she is usually darting from one hidey spot to the next, but here she is with Wicket...

And she's in this pile...

Above... Wicket is kindof a bully to her, so I usually split them up when Wicket tackles her, as she still has stitches to worry about on her belly.

Back to Wicket and Jack... I thought this was a particularly amusing shot!

And more Jack. I think he's really a cute cat.

Pulling his Eeyore toy out of the cage...

And one more once I got them herded back inside the cage. This picture shows also our new entertainment center (well, new to us) that we picked up last night to replace the old desk we used to use. I like it. - Much better! Need to get shelves put in and the DVDs arranged. Also shows Tweek, the abandoned Eeyore, and our local news appears to be finally breaking the scoop on the Colonol's secret recipe.

That's all for now!

Looks like you've gotten quite the kitty family!

Love this pic of Wicket and Peanut- looks like Wicket's letting Peanut know where she belongs in the pack, lol!

And this one reminds me too much of when Taz and Damien were little!

I always enjoy pics of Tweek, too- she's such a beautiful cat!

Heh... they're quick and hard to get pictures of!

Took some more though last night, when I got them to play with a little dangly on a string. The key to getting the Tortie Peanut to come out and play is getting Wicket out of the picture. Wicket's a bully! Jack can handle her and play/fight back, but the little tortie just feels put-upon and abused.

I brought the outdoor mat in in hopes they'd like to scratch at that instead of the furniture! I know the other cats do.

Awwwww! They're so cute! Dangly things are definitely a way to a kitten's heart!

Love this pic!

Yesterday I completed the 'barn cat condo' in my feed room.

I think it's possum-proof, yet cat accessible, as proven by Pippin, who I found up there this morning. He's one of my house kitties, but he apparently thinks the new digs are pretty cool. Last night, there was food eaten, the right amount for the two sisters, no more, no less. So that's good. I think they figured it out.

I'm going to continue to look for more good cat beds and shelters to put in there so there's lots of choices, up to and including the big pile of old hay and baling string they've been sleeping on lately, which I moved up off the floor.
