Capone Update!

Alright, I just got off the phone with Corrine Super, Capone I's owner.

I now know that, while Doug Spink has been spreading rumors that the stallion is still his, Corrine was and is the true owner of Capone, however, that must be proved in court. Right now it is in the hands of the lawyers and may go to court. If I breed in spring, everything should be hunkydorrie since he will be in Corrine's position at least until then, hopefully longer if everything falls in the right places.

He is approved with AHA, BWT, AWR, CWR, and CSA. I think that I'll go with the Belgian registry since Corrine said that they love Capone.

Sounds like everything should work out for the best. I still want to make a revised contract saying that if my mare is not settled by a date or falls into the hands of Doug, then I will get a refund. Sound fair enough? I'll be working it out with my mom, who is an attorney herself.

That sounds great Suzie! I'm glad this is finally unravelling The last thing I wanted for you was for you to have another $%^&*) breeding season....

You're going BWT as opposed to AHA? Where are the approvals held for AHA? If Penny's up in SLO at the time of approvals, would you take her back down to Moorpark for the BWT's?

PS-- I might be coming up to SLO soon to visit my brother. We should meet up!

I saw the post and prayed for the best.

The clause sounds perfect, they may want to subtract the booking fee, but I think they should understand your reservations.

I hope Penny settles on the first try. Fingers crossed!

That sounds like a perfect way to word the contract and thankfully your mom is a lawyer herself so can help ensure you get all loopholes blocked off
