Can you tell what breed/s she is?

I know this is pretty impossible, but, I'm just wondering if there's anything that jumps out about Apple that just screams certain breeds?

She's seven years old, 13.3hh, has had one foal. Liver chestnut. Has energy to burn! Built very narrow and fine boned. And a very thick neck.

For some odd reason I think of morgan (the thick neck) & Arab (the energy). Am I offbase?

All of those pics are from last summer.

Here is her filly, born April 15, 2005. Grace is built alot like Apple, only she string tests to 15.3hh. We'll see. lol Her sire *might* have been a TWH, we're told. This pic was taken today.

I am seeing QH...She looks like my mare I have. But that is just a wild guess!
She is very pretty! I love her color!

What is her movement like? I'm thinking you could have a Standardbred cross - where did you get her from?
Deffinately not 100% Stb but...I also think you are hitting the nail on the head with a morgan mix too.

A lot of horses who come from dealers or sale barns are Standardbreds or a STB mix (people mistake them for a TB cross or Morgan) Morgans really influenced the STB breed - my mare looks very "morgan-esque", but some tend to lean more toward the TB build or even Arab.

She has a jug head (a beautiful trait IMO ) and a slight roman nose (but does her face look more dished when she expands her nostrils?), but her eyes could be more wide set for a true stb and her face isn't long enough from the eye down to the bottom of her jaw bone (Stb do tend to have a bigger jaw bone). She has a long sloping shoulder, but from croup to dock she isn't really long enough for full STB.
The STB or Morgan mix, would explain the energy to burn!

It's the head though, and the fact that those nostrils just expanded in that one head shot you've got of her!
I mean of course I could be wrong - that's the beauty of guessing a breed, but I would have to say she could have Standardbred in there, or TWH (Standardbreds influenced them as well, so you can get some who look quite STB), and I would even guess Morgan as well (because she has a shorter span from croup to dock and thicker build through the rump) could be QH in there too though.
But it's the head, that makes me think there is something from the first 3 groups in there for sure.

If Grace does have TWH in there, it could explain why she looks long in the hindend than her mama, and why her eyes seem a bit wider set.

I am thinking maybe a Welsh pony crossed with a quarter horse, although looking at her head maybe a morgan cross. Could have some Arab in her though, they tend to be small... who knows? The more I look the more I think quarter crossed with a pony...

I never really considered QH much, because she's just so *petite*. Not many QHs are so small & fineboned.

She trots ALOT. And when she trots, she acts like she thinks highly of herself. LOL And she tends to prance alot, with her tail up, lots of knee action, that was another reason I thought Arab.

I NEVER would've thought of STB. My sister got her from our cousin in '05, and he got her in '04 from some people, doesn't remember who. The same people that had the TWH stud.

Here's another pic, this is her Arabian impression. My sister's 5'5", to give an idea of how small she is.

And here's one of her head. Not a whole lot of refinement.

Yeah, I agree, she's probably got quarter horse in her. Probably arab, too. And you could be right, she just might have some morgan in her. I'd just call her a quarter horse-type. *shrugs* She's cute!
