Can mares show signs of being in heat when pregant

Well I'm really anxious to start watching my mare for any "clues".

Looks like other have helped you, but would like to add, I also own a mare who showed heat this year..I freaked out, hauled her to the vet..shes still pregnant..

my mare today started rearing up and trying to play with my other mares and prancing and snorting i think she has had a sex change in teh last week either that or she has had testostone injections lol pregancy has made my mare turn into a staillion

I'd say this wive's tale is false, the only 2 mares we've ever had show any stallion behaviour like this both delivered fillies!
We've got one mare now who is doing this, she's due next April, so we'll see what happens there
