Question Can I Feed "This" To My Yearling??

Hello,

I just bought a yearling quarter horse, who is at a good weight. He has been fed beet pulp and a complete grain high in protein. I feed my other horses beet pulp with alfalfa and a ration balancer. I am wondering if I can keep this guy on the same diet? As opposed to having to go out and buy something new. I would introduce it all slowly. Thanks.

Absolutely you can, and it will be healthier for him Just adjust the proportions accordingly.

Yes, just make the transition sensible-most of us do change their feeds when we get them to slide them into our feeding routine.

Absolutely! He could likely need more alfalfa than the grown ones.

What is the rest of his diet and activity like? How much does he weigh and exactly how old is he?
