So I was thinking I might get one of those two-eared bridles that will match my bridle, and take one of the ear pieces off and put it on my bridle, then re-sell the bridle I bought as a one-eared bridle Do you think that would work?

i guess but he looks good in the one you got there

Since it is a pretty unique color, maybe you could get a leather worker to take part off the throatlatch, and add it to the browband? Otherwise yes, I would go for a one ear in the same color and switch the pieces out, or a two ear, because you're not going to have trouble with the fit of those pieces. I also like the look of one ear bridles on WP horses.

Have the saddler make the browband into an ear loop.

They take the browband off and sew it into this shape -

Then you can slide it back onto your headstall.
