Lightbulb Calling ALL Florida horse owners!! Please Read

On one of my Yahoo groups, we are trying to get a bunch of ppl together and order a semi-truck load of Alfalfa. Anyone in Fl can understand our frustration at currently paying $13.50 - $22.00 a bale for Alfalfa. Anyone interested, please post here, PM me or email me at Cntrysass20@aol.com A semi holds between 22-28 TONS of hay. Depending on if the bales are compressed or not. We are currently getting the full price together and I will let you know as soon as I can, but for now we just need to know how many ppl would be interested, and about how many bales you would want. Of course, if this is not considerably cheaper we will not do it. Saying that you would be interested will not be held against you if you change you mind. LOL. We just need an idea.

Thanks for your time, Jessie

Yeah....here in Brevard County, FL, I get my alfalfa for 14.95.....that's the 75-80 pound bale. I'd definately be interested...but I'll be weaning my colt tomorrow, so my need for LOTS of alfalfa will be going down dramatically....I wish somebody had thought of this 2 months ago! LOL. But I will still need good quality coastal hay....and I'm paying 5.25 a bale for okay quality coastal right now....ugh...florida

Central Florida is AWFUL for sky high hay prices this year- all local feed stores are selling alfalfa square bales for 14-16 dollars per bale, and timothy & alfalfa hay (t&a) square bales which ARE consistently on the SMALL side for as much as 10-12 per bale!!!! very hard year for hay budget, thank goodness its not winter anymore and the grass is growing.

Cntrysass- I pm'ed you my phone number-I think you are in the same area in FL as I am--(saw when I pm'ed you we have the same birthday )
