Glad you probably saved yourself a headache with the paperwork. There are a lot of reputable people on here that have horses that need homes, maybe you should check out the equine classified section to see if you see anything you like. Also post a thread with what you are looking for, I am sure someone has what you are looking for in a horse. Good luck with your search.

So you made them knock $600 off the price for papers you were never going to use or even register him as?

I made them? Because really I had say in how much they wanted for their horse, and how far they were willing to go down.

If they weren't interested in dropping his price - they wouldn't have dropped his price. Remix was a handful, and they were beginners. They just wanted to get out of it, because they were paying $300 a month in board for a horse that was never used.

So no, I didn't MAKE them do anything. They were willing. I asked them, and they said yes.

And if they hadn't, I probably wouldn't have bought him. He was green as grass and I still paid $1900.

You asked them to take $600 off because of the price of papers you never had any intention of getting or using. Does that sound better?

I did have the intentions of getting them, at first. But then I didn't, because I was stopping 4-H, getting married, and stopped showing. So when the horse was bought yes - I had every intention of registering him.

And I sold him with his breeding certificate, and his Pinto Papers. I told them I had not registered him, and if they wanted I'd drop the price. I did, I dropped it $750 for them.

But either way, it doesn't matter because it was between myself and the old owners. They were willing to drop the price at that point because they just wanted to be done with him.

Honestly nothing and I probably shouldnt have brought it up. It just screamed to me that it was extremely unethical and coniving at that time. Now I know different and do not feel that way any more.

Fair enough!
Everyone sees things a different way and has different feelings/opinions.
