So there is a TB mare with the same name as a stallion? Sorry I am really confused on the pedigree....

It would be helpful if she would complete the pedigree. It is hard for me to believe the registry would allow two parents with the same name. Wish I was a JC member so I could look it up.

I can't find any record of a mare named Storm Cat. Can you find out if she is registered and if so, which registry?

I have tried to find one and cannot ... I wish someone would explain that pedigree.... I cannot believe that JC would allow a horse to have the same name as another horse of the same registry. Is there anyone who can look up the pedigree on the gelding?

I also searched for a dam by the name of Storm Cat and came up with nothing. Is this some scam? Im so confused. She seemed to know exactly who both parents were and apparently "if he was a mare instead of a gelding he would be worth a ton because his pedigree is so amazing!" hmmm...that just doesnt add up. Should I call back tomorrow and question it more?

Interesting! Look what I found when I googled the gelding.....
1st dam
STORM BEV, by Storm Cat. 2 wins at 3, $26,435. Dam of 2 other foals of racing
age, including a 3-year-old of 2002, one to race--
Military Stormer (g. by Colonel Stevens). Winner at 3, placed at 4, 2001,
$5,142.
...does this mean Military Stormer's dam is Storm Bev?
Here is the link to the website I found it on: http://www.fasigtipton.com/auct/20020520/pdfs/375.PDF
