I like Comanche! I like naming the Appys native american names... I named my mare Shyan (like cheyenne - just spelled different)

Here's some others

Apache
Kiowa
Cherokee
Dakota
Lakota
Shasta
Scout
Ace
Ringo

Do you have any registered names picked yet?

Just curious... would he still be considered a leopard or would you call him a near leopard?

ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW FOR SURE??
The way to know for sure is to look at the skin underneath.

This gelding was born exactly this color but look closely and you can see the darker skin on his shoulders and neck.

He is actually a bay roan w/a blanket and spots.

That baby is adorable! I cannot wait to see more pictures of him as he unfolds! What is the breeding on the dam?

Thanks mutrok! I was wondering cause I saw the faint color on his face and neck, plus the legs... so what would you guess he is?

WOW Kriss. Hes purtyyyyyyyyy

Love the spots in his tail too, LOL.

But, looking at his legs, chest and face, is there a chance that he's varnish? Be such a shame to loose that lovely contrast color, but if he grows like his dad, then he'll have the body to make up for less color.
