Hence the great debate over whether blue eye's truly means the existance of splash. I can't say one way or another obviously. However I have seen clydes that appear in pattern like other horses or ponies that are catagorized by us color nut's as splash. Then I've seen Clydes with blue eye's who personally appear nothing more to me than a form of sabino. To each his own.

Then those horses are frame. Frame is lethal white lethal white is frame. If a tobiano has lwo then that horse is also frame as well as tobiano.

I 100% feel that Belgians, Clydesdales and Shires all carry splash. I am not saying all lines do, like I wouldn't say all QHs do, but I do believe without any question in my own midn that it exists. Let me put it this way... Given that splash is only a PHENOTYPE at this point and splash could actually be determined to be a variation of sabino (highly unlikely IMO, just making a point), until we have a test the ONLY thing we can go on is phenotype and there are pure bred drafts that ABSOLUTELY have the splash phenotype.

I don't think anyone can say "only sabino" for any breed until we can test for everything. Just like all the blasted Arab breeders that claim "the only pattern gene in Arabs is sabino". Uh huh. Sorry but I know blue eyes are not "proof" of splash, but it darn sure fits the phenotype.

And I'll back the others in the thread by saying ANY horse (within the breeds that carry it) can carry frame whether it is seen or not. ONLY frame can cause LWO foals.

That's why I have a hard time with the die-hards who like to claim the splash and sabino and so on and so forth. I agree 100%, until we can test everything in those catagories I really don't say too much on them. We just are able to sit and theorize. Still fun though.

It's worth getting a job like that. Truly teaches you a lot and show's you a completely different horse business avenue that you are able to be involved in. A great opportunity.
