He looks a little gangely. I think his age is why. With a little more work and growth, his neck and croup will fill out.

Nothing but just ride and practice yet! If you read my first post, I tell that the pictures are supposed to be linked to "what should I show in??" Asking what people think he would be good at. So if you have any comments regarding that, please do share!!!! Thanks

I know, plus he was even thinner, and with less muscle than before!! So he has actually improved believe it or not! I will keep trying to bulk him up, so with that and age, hopefully he'll fill out a bit more!

I don't know! That's the problem. That's why I was hoping for some comments and opinions on what he might be good at, so I could at least look into that!! Any suggestions from you Shell? lol

If I owned him, I would do a lot of trail riding and maybe start him over low fences. He looks like he has a long back, and I don't know what to do with a horse like that, but I am sure they are good for all kinds of things. Most all of my horses have been Arabs with short backs. Even my Paint horse had a short back. I am not good at judging a job for a horses conformation, but that is what I would try!

Well, I am starting to do a lot of trail riding with him (took a long ride today in fact!), and have actually done some low jumps too! So, I guess I'm on the right track then? lol. And I ride him every day, so hopefully will get him into tip top shape eventually!

GOOD! I think people should enjoy their horses. I am having a hard time enjoying one of my horses right now. Cleo, you know who you are!

LOL, yes I remember Cleo from your post. I am enjoying him. He's my first and only horse, and it's nice being able to spend all my time on just ONE horse though. I'm getting to know him quite well, and we're starting to get more training on him and make some progress!
