Bruno Story

We are a horse Rescue we got a call from a lady who has a Thoroughbred Stallion, a big 17.2h beautiful bay 2 y/o. His owners never handled him and no longer wanted him. Poor guy was living in a 8 X 8 stall and never got out. We immediately fell in love with Bruno and wanted to bring him to our ranch, so could have a better life..

We arranged to have Bruno brought over to our ranch the next day. In hopes of training him and finding a family that will keep him forever.

We have lots of mares at our ranch and we have a strict no breeding policy. So Bruno needed to be gelded as soon as he got to our ranch. Bruno was gelded by Dr Rasner On July 28, 2009. However we could not control the bleeding. After having the vet out 3 times a day for three days straight and another surgery to stop the bleeding with no luck. We discovered Bruno was a hemophilic meaning his blood does not clot. Bruno nearly bleed to death over the last three days. We were left with no choice but to take Bruno to the Norco Equine Veterinary Hospital for emergency surgery.

The Veterinarian bills are in excess of $ 1200 and we are asking for donations to help cover the costs for his care. We are asking donations to be made directly to the equine veterinary hospital.

The Norco Veterinary hosppital was nice enough to reduce the bill by 50% however we still need help covering the extra unexpected cost.
