Circuit Padded Flash Horse Bridle, English Horse Tack

Kincade Plain Raised Bridle - Dover Saddlery

I REALLY like tihs one!:

Crown Padded Stitched Horse Bridle - English Horse Tack

these two are nice:

Circuit Grand Prix Horse Bridle - Horse Tack at Dover Saddlery

Circuit Accent Flash Horse Bridle, English Horse Tack

Please help me find a good bridle! Which do you like out of these? I will be doing mostly flatwork + very low jumps (maybe).

Also...for mostly flatwork, a few trails, and some LOW jumps..would you recommend a CLOSE CONTACT saddle or an ALL PURPOSE? I have heard close contact..but what do yall recommend? Also in what classes in shows can I show in in both types of saddles.

And last but not least...do yall know of any good saddles under 1,300 or around there?? English please. NO WINTECS [Already have one love it though]... this saddle MUST BE BROWN... && an able to have an extra wide tree. I was going to get a BATES saddle but I can't find any used ones for under 1,300.Plesae help!

I didn't look at your bridle choices, but you might want to take a look at the Bobby's line. I don't think you can beat the quality for the price. On the lower end of the spectrum, you get what you pay for (not that a cheaper bridle won't serve its purpose).

For saddles, you might look at the Thornhills if you really want a new saddle. They are well-made and well designed. I have the Germania 2-Phase and really like it. You might also check the Dover Circuit saddles, as well as Ovation and Henri de Rivel.

If you're looking at used, you'll have tons of options in that price range.

99.9% of the time with tack, if it's cheap in price, it's cheap in quality. I second the Bobby's suggestion. I have two Bobby's bridles and they are really good quality, soft leather and they were not super expensive.

As for saddles. If you are doing any jumping at all, you want a close contact. I always say All-purpose saddles have no purpose. They usually do not put you in the correct postion for either jumping or flat work.

Where are you looking for Bates used saddles? You can easily find one for under $1300 if you look in the right places. I really like Courbette, the more expensive line is really nice. I have the CC arosa and the dressage saddle, I use them almost daily and they have held up really well. But, with your budget, you can easily find a really good saddle.

Suffolks are made in India, cheap leather.

Cuircut brand is decent, nicer leather.

Kincade, another mad ein India POS bridle.

Get a saddle first, then find a GOOD bridle to match.

I got the Suffolk and won't even put up with it for schooling. Tough, thick leather, and very unfinished edges. Plus it's a weird matte brown.

Circuit saddles are really nice for their price range and I would expect the bridle to be a nice buy for the price range as well (but I have no personal experience).

Kincade....run. Super cheap urine tanned leather. Smells gross and looks even worse. A couple boarders have them and I hate using their bridles when I school.

I have the Crown Dressage bridle and i LOVE it. Wonderful leather quality, nice finished edges and very supple after a short time.
