See if they can just un-do one or both of the sides where it's looped for the headstall to slip in to. Then add a loop of a close color. That way the side concho will cover it, and you won't even know it's an add-on!

So, just to be clear, the stitching will be removed at the ends, so you're browband is now just one long flat piece. Then an extra piece can be added to each end, to make the loop out of the new leather. That should give you a good 2" of additional length!

shyxpony, don't buy from horseloverz if you need your item QUICK. They ship the item within 1-3 days of ordering but it won't actually get to you for about a week. I order stuff from them all the time, but the shipping time isn't wonderful. Actually I just placed an order for a saddle pad. I paid Sunday and they shipped it yesterday (Thursday), and my tracking number says delivery date will be July 3rd.

They have great items and great prices but be careful with shipping!

Good luck!

Eep... I need it soon, so I don't think that will work. Maybe in the long run I will get it, but I need something temporary for the show...

will the browband stay up if you remove teh thoatlatch or just unfeed it from one side and rig it somehow??

I can see it in my mind but don't know how to type what I am thinking
take the throatlatch out of one side and use somethign to attach it to the back of the concho and that will give you a bit more length FOR now temperary fix

hmm poo I don't have a headstall in the house
take the throatlatch out of the browband on one side use a bread tie to hold the concho in place and wrap the throatlatch with the breadtie also
that way you can slide the concho out some and still have the thraotlatch there
