Brenderup trailers? What are you opinions?

What are your opinions on this trailer?

http://www.brenderuprealtrailers.com/frames/index.htm

I know some people HATE them, and others love them. So...anyone have one, had one, or knows someone with one?

I'll be in the market for a trailer within the next year or so, so I'm looking at my choices.

I researched them when I was looking for a trailer and really liked them alot. I like that they are light, airy and strong. However, what made me ultimately decide against one was the price. They are expensive. But they do hold their value. I ended up with a $800 trailer for my first trailer. I might look into one again when I look for a newer trailer; but the price thing still gets me.

LOL I've been reading all the threads on brenders over there, which is what prompted me to post it here ^_^

Are they really that expensive? I'm going to have to look, I didn't even look at the price.

I'd rather have an older two horse slant anyways, but these looked neat because they're so light.

I know two people with them, both like them. One person had it redone in the front to allow for a bigger tack and dressing area. I have heard of people having issues with some of the plastic parts breaking though.

They are expensive, but when you are looking at buying a new towing vehicle and a new trailer. When you only have to buy the trailer and not a vehicle too, it can be justified.

You don't have to buy a "new" truck/trailer when looking. For the price of a Brenderup you can get a nice used trailer and truck that still have many years left on it. I know people that have gone that way and even upgraded their older truck to a "newer" older truck. But if you were looking for a new truck and/or trailer, then I would agree that the Brenderup would be comparable.

I have one and love it. Another family at my barn has one too, and they love theirs as well. It's hard to find used ones though, and the new ones are pricey, but we were fortunate to find a used one at just the right time.
Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

I'm glad so many like them! My only beef is the tack room isn't a full door, I hate leaning down to get into places. Hrmm.

A friend has one and loves it. It is one of the trailers that can be pulled with many lighter built vehicles so that is always a consideration. If I owned a lighter SUV I might be tempted to buy a light trailer since I would not have to purchase a second vehicle to pull it.

I personally would never have one because it is a bumper pull. I personally hate bumper pull trailers. I have several larger trailers and have to have a ton pickup so I have a natural preference for heavier trailers since I already have the vehicle to pull it with. Also for the price I can find a Sooner or Cheerokee used.

Here is a price list from last January... http://www.theydeservethebest.com/brenderup/prices.html

There is also a 2008 price sheet and order form available on that link.
