breeding your mare this year?

How many of us are planning on breeding this year? who are you breeding and what are you hoping for?

I'm breeding my quarab mare, to an AQHA stud. I'm hoping for a chestnut filly with lots of chrome, but I'll be just as happy with a colt, as long as it is a healthy baby!

I found this calculator online, that I thought was pretty neat..it tells you when you should get everything done as well as the due date
http://www.gaitedhorses.net/gestationalcalc.shtml

Good Luck with all of your breeding adventures! Lol, I wish all of you the best in breeding, pregnancy, and foaling!

Faith is at the breeders now. I'm hoping for a Blk/Wht Filly. But as long as it's healthy, I'm happy!

After my mare foals this year and we pull a uterin culture she will be bred to a American Warm blood named windwalker, he is a pinto chestnut, we won a breeding to him for writing an essay. And we are hoping for any thing that sells, and proubley a filly, because temperment wise we hope they are a lil less devious out of my mare.... and of course white markings, and hopefully my lil mare will pass on a dilute gene, so then a pinto either palomino, buckskin, or smokey black in color, and a jumper!
this is the stallion

We are breeding 3 mares this year.

1. Jacs Tin Lizzy-Grulla Quarter Horse Mare will be bred to a BEAUTIFUL Grulla Quarter Horse Stallion. We arent saying who the stallion is as of yet, she is a maiden mare....so when she is confirmed in-foal....we will say who she was bred to. We are hoping for a filly(because we want to keep her as a future broodmare, show horse, ect).....we can only get grulla or black....either color would be great. The mare's breeding is nice...Jacs little Pine, Hollywood Jac 86, Mainly Martha, Mr Joe Glo is all on the sire's side and the dam is from a ranch out west.....Poco Del Sun, Dedics Skippa Doc, and others. Full pedigree and pictures of the mare can be seen on our website.

2. Star Bucks Bonanza-Buckskin Quarter Horse Mare will be bred to a BEAUTIFUL Grulla Quarter Horse Stallion. We arent saying who the stallion is as of yet, she is a maiden mare...so when she is comfirmed in-foal....we will say who she was bred to. Colt or filly...doesnt matter. Highest chance of color(s) are buckskin and dun....but what ever the color it will be fine. The mare's breeding consists of Rough Water, Bobby Joe Bonanza(by Bonanza's Champ), Funny Face Lu(by Hickory D Doc), Buller Bar Leo(by War Leo), and others. Full pedigree and pictures of the mare can be seen on our website.

3. Lady Poco Burrus-Dun Quarter Horse Mare will be bred to Docs Ben Cutting, a BEAUTIFUL Palomino Quarter Horse Stallion. Colt or filly...doesnt matter. This mare was bred to a different palomino in the past and had a grulla, buckskin and dun....so who's to say what she'll give us bred to this palomino stallion. The mare's breeding is nice....Beau Bonanza, Coy's Bonanza, Dawson Beauty, Paul Lewis, Poco Dell's Buck, and others. Full pedigree and pictures of the mare can be seen on our website.

Im breeding Buggs my TB in two weeks!!!!!!! She's being bred to Domasca Dan (TB), he's a bit of a relic at 18 years old but he's absolutly stunning. I went to see another stud but when I saw DD in his stall I asked to see him. He's dark bay with a chest about a mile wide!
Im hoping for a bay filly! (but i'll be happy with whatever it ends up being!) I hope it gets Buggs' height, Domasca Dan's chest and bulk (and speed!) and Buggs' personality and temprement. It will be a racehorse if it looks good (which it will! )

I hoping to breed my 8 year old Arabian mare. It's her first baby. I have found a nice Palamino QH that will work great with her. He is as calm as can be. And a giant. I'm hoping for an alive, healthy baby thats all I want.
