Depends. If you mean naturally or what someone chooses as a given breeding season. For us, it's Feb 15th through May 31st with Player and Beefcake.

With the stallion that we are breeding our Haflinger mare too the will collect from February - July.

It really depends on the breed, what part of the world you're in and who you talk to. For me, I don't start breeding my own mares until April and usually stop mid-June depending on the mares. But I stand Reggie from March 1 - June 30 (I will go longer though if the mare owner requires it). I like my foals to be born March - May.

Totally depends on the breed. When we pasture breed the stud, he gets turned in with a mare starting in February and the latest we leave him in is July. He's a TB, so the closer they are born to Jan. 1, the better. With other breeds YMMV.
