| Senior Member+  | Breeding My Mare....The "Perfect" Match *Help Appreciated!"
Alright. I am going to be breeding my mare next year and I am hoping it will become my next APHA breed show prospect. I am wanting to breed to a WP stud, perferably no shorter than 15.3hh. I am hoping the baby will turn into an All-Around baby, specializing in either WP or HUS, but it doesnt matter. If it turns out its not cut out to be an all-around show horse, that is fine, as I am versitile and would rather do what the baby is good at than forcing it to do something its not. I do have studs picked out and would like some opinions on them, and which one would cross best. Also, if anyone knows of any other WP paint studs that you think would cross well with my mare then please feel free to suggest them. Just one note the stud fee must be bellow $2000. Here is my mare:   And here are the possible studs: Fleet Machine - Fleet Machine Zips Heaven Sent - Gillespie Show Horses - Zips Heaven Sent Will Spot Ya - Jim Smith Performance Horses | Will Spot Ya Hot Roddin Zip - Paint horses for sale and home of Paint stallion Hot Roddin Zip Saint Pats Cat - Saint Pats Cat And if I were to go for a HUS prospect.... MBF Night Time Echo - Meadow Brook Farms - APHA MBF Night Time Echo NOTE: I do not want to breed to Zippos Sensation as there are alot of his foals out there. I would like to go for proven studs that may have been "pushed" out of the lime light, or new upcomming studs that haven't had a foal crop yet, or ones just starting.

CS... are you talking the REAL all around and including Halter or just a performance horse that will go HUS/WP and maybe some pattern classes? Based on the photos, what ever you breed to, I'd personally look for something to ad to your mare's croup. From the photos it looks very short. Now, if you'd let me know about the definition of all around... I'll stir up some names for you  Is your mare homozygous for tobi and do you have a preference between Overo or Tobi (or any "color")? Lots of good stallions out there that could do you proud with that girl and I commend you for not going with what is flooding the market.

I have Zips Heaven Sent's video. The horse can MOVE! GORGEOUS lope, pretty jog. I've been emailing one owner (the husband) and he is very nice, open about his horses, and is friendly. Although, a friend of mine just had a Saint Pat's Cat baby born, and he's very nice and quiet. |

Well obviously my choice of those is Fleet Machine  But I think Rocky could compliment her well. He's sired several all-arounders and himself is one of few stallions to be both World Champions in Halter and Western Pleasure. Sheriff Stock Farm - Home of Paint Stallion Western Design |
