Wow, I'm so sorry . I'm glad she got to be loved after being done no favors at the track

I sort of hope this (and quite a few other threads we've unfortunately been seeing lately ) will be a wakeup call to all the inexperienced mare owners who just want to breed for a cute foal....maybe it would be worthwhile to keep a "bank" of these threads? Just thinking out loud...

Again, I'm so sorry.

She was a beautiful mare but I suppose her life on earth was just not meant to be. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure she's showing off her baby proudly in horsie heaven.

I am so sorry for the loss of both the foal and mare, I guess that is why I never got up the nerve to breed my mare, for fear of something going wrong and losing her....Cathy

Thanks all, I guess the only thing that makes me feel better, is she had 2 years of life that she wouldn't of had. This baby had a complete purpose in mind, it was a keeper for the friend that bred it. Was a potential barrel prospect.

She was bred by the Stronach's (top of the world in TB racing) and then sold as a 2 yo in training. She was wicked fast, and if not for the bump she received at the gate would of had a spectacular running career I'm sure.

May she run wild in heaven with her filly by her side, winning every race they take on.

RIP Trudys A Tiger
