But, sersiously, it's just as bad as the cat and dog overpopulation. Why would you breed another grade horse! And just for color? My husband's grandpa was like that. He bred the same mare three years in a row trying to get a matching team out of her. Three years, three different colors. And they were even purebred registered percherons, very nice horses that wasted away in a pasture their whole lives because they were the wrong color!!! Aaghh, I have to stop, i am getting myself worked-up!

No children. They have the 10 horses, dozens of cats, a wolf, an emu, a donkey, exotic lizzards, and about 30 or so great big beautiful birds. I mean the big expensive birds, like macaws, parrots, africian greys, etc. They just put an atrium additions on their house to keep the birds in. They also have free flying birds that are just loose with nest boxes and the whole bit. It is a literal zoo. I have posted pictures of the birds before. They really are beautiful. Here are some pictures

First pic is the 4 year old appy mare. Second pic is the draft mare. There is also a draft gelding, a matched team. No, they don't rasie birds for a living, just a hobby. Client is an artist. Pretty famous too. Has his works all over the world in many galleries.

I KNEW they did not have children... Just KNEW it! I don't have kids either BUT I also don't try to replace them with my pets and livestock... Some people just kind of are that way...

The birds are STUNNING. I love birds but Roger's not a fan of them, "too messy" so it is one area I gave on, no birds...

If I had that kind of money, I could think of a lot better things to do than to try to get a matching spotted mule team.

You know, you're probably right. But see, that's a much better idea than mules, at least the mustangs can reproduce, and they don't sound like someone stuffed a chicken down their throat when they talk.

(Sorry to you mule lovers. We have one at the barn and she's so sweet, but honestly, not my cup of tea.)
