| Full Member | Well I'm curious as to what the colour of the stallion was so I thought that I would bump this thread up.

| Senior Member+ | My breeder has a LCFO (Live Colored Foal Guarantee). Most breeders have something along those lines, some are just LFO (Live Foal Guarantee) I got a solid Palomino colt. If he had spots big enough to register him in the regular Paint registry that would have been it. My breeder came out to see him the day he was born, I hadn't even told him what color he was. I just called and said "SHE HAD IT!!!" and he came by. First thing he said was "Looks like you got a solid, you've got a free breed back." I thought about it, thought about how old my mare was getting... how lucky I was that nothing went wrong with that foaling and said "No it's OK, I'm happy with what I've got" My mare was 19 when she foaled and that was her first, so I didn't want to take any more chances. Breeding, like everyone said, should NEVER be just for color. Color is a bonus. And with the horse market the way it is... it's just irresponsible to keep breeding just because the baby didn't come out a certain color. Color can NEVER be guaranteed... if you want a certain color.... THEN BUY IT.

| Senior Member+ | So.....? You're here now. Or does this alleged foal and alleged stallion even exist? If you're going to participate on a forum, it would be nice to have some manners and follow through. ![]()
