Breeding Alex

Just getting some thoughts on breeding Alex. Obviously I would want a HUS type QH. She's an appendix, 5 years old, an own daughter of Last Detail. I certainly have my favorite stallions, but wondering what you all thought about Alex being a mommy for 2008. This pic was taken in March. She hasn't had any work since last year.

I'm definitely not opposed to the idea . Who did you have in mind?

Oh, I would look into PS Sign The Card if you would like another stud to consider. OR Iron Enterprise (thats who my filly is out of and she is such a fast learner and an easy-go-attitude).

And yes, DO TELL who you are going to breed her too!

Only if I can have the foal! HAHA Heck you can keep the foal and give me mommy!

I'd love to see Alex in foal to a nice HUS stallion!

I agree! Alex would make a terrific mommy, now what studs are you considering? Have you selected a breed or more general HUS type talent?

No, I have not selected a stallion. In fact I don't even know if I want to breed her, Jess does!! And I love that stallion PS Sign the Card. He is amazing and every foal is nicer than the last. Just putting it out there to see what people think.

What would it take to get her full QH registration?

First, I think Alex has a good body and from the video's I've seen is a lovely mover, so conformationally speaking, there's no reason I can find that she should not be bred.

Next, Since she is 'opinionated' I'd definately be looking for a sire that consistently produces offspring with a strong desire to please and that are easy going I can think of a few nice Arab sires for a great 1/2 Arab HUS prospect
