I'll do either. I can make both look good. If I have to get it done quick I just use band. If I have time and really want to make it look nice I'll use yarn. Sometime I'll even do button braids with the yarn if I really have a lot of time

I have seen other people do it better with yarn.. but i cant do it with yarn |

| Full Member | I always use yarn, I think it's a bit more subtle than bands, and yarn comes in more colors so you can match your horses mane a bit closer. However, I always put elastics over my bands to keep them in place, either over night, for the trailering, until my first class etc. Then pull them out.
