Braiding: night before, morning of?

For me it depends on the show. If I'm going to an A rated show I will be sure to braid that morning or hire a pro to braid in the AM. If it's a schooling show, or I have really early classes at a rated show, I will braid the night before.

A great trick if you're braiding the night before is to braid with yarn, but use elastics to secure the braids. Then coat in the heavy duty hair spray. They often stay as good as new if the horse isn't rubbing too badly.

If it's a schooling show i usually don't braid unless i have extra time but at the A shows when I braid or someone else does we always do it the morning of and then the horse stands tied up so the braids don't get messed up

i do it the morning of because there is more of a chance for it to look sloppy over the night.. then you dont have to worry about it.
