| Senior Member | braiding a mane
Allright so I am at that point in my life where I should be able to turn a horse out beautifully. My only issue is the mane braiding. I don't have a horse right now to practice on. I can braid a tail beauitfully, but the mane always come out lacking. Is there any form out their that I can practice on. I was thinking like a board with yarn stapled to it, but that wouldn't give a life like simulation of what braiding a mane is. Any sugestions here?

What kind of braids are you talking about? Hunter braids? Running Braids? Braiding people's hair is always a useful method. Riding arabs, I do a lot of running braids and so all of the show riders took turns french braiding our coaches hair until we could do it perfectly.

| Senior Member | Welcome to Braidpal practice boards I've never used it, but it seems interesting. It's a lot like a board with yarn stapled to it, but instead of yarn the material is more "mane-like". good luck!
