Question Braiding...

Does anyone have a good recommendation for braiding references? I'd like a comprehensive one because I'll do regular dressage braids on my mare but I want to do a single on my gelding and then I've seen some fancy stuff on Friesians....

Thanks!

I think I know the braid youa re talking about. We used to call it an Andalusian braid. Ok, let me see if I can explain how to do it(much easier to show someone!!) Start at the top of the neck and start a braid, braid down about half way, then take a small section from the mane and add it to the braid, braiding about two times, then add another small section, just keep adding sections and soon the braid will run the length of the neck. When you get to the end of the neck, just keep braiding the extra hair down into one nice braid that hangs. I hope you understood this method. It's hard to explain It take ssome practice to get it to look perfect, but once you get it, it looks awesome

EXCELLENT! Thank you for both the instructions and links, the running braid is what I was thinking of! My perch has a long curly mane to the bottom of his neck and I don't want to cut or pull it for show.
