Boot Camp Day #3: Sizzlin' and stylin'!!!

LMAO, hahaha
I wanted to ride Tuesday, but had an early swim meet that left me no time to ride.

So yesterday was day 3 of boot camp for Mona, and she did surprisingly well...
The last two rides she was off in la la land, not paying attention, wouldn't bring her nose under, etc. Yesterday she did it and I was SO surprised.

I worked her so hard. After a 45 minute ride, we were both dripping with sweat (eeew, lol) and Mona felt like she was going to pass out. LMAO!
And at the very end, I was fooling around with her western gaits, and for the very first time, I got her all rounded with the nice slooooow western jog and lope. It was so awesome!!!

Do you like my fashion choices?

I had my green John Deere baseball hat on for a while, but took it off because it kept sliding everywhere.
Again, please excuse my position, LOL. I couldn't keep a nice seat in shorts.

They don't really "stick" to a leather saddle.

I only show her at open shows for now, and they do Hunter Under Saddle, hunt seat, etc. Stuff like that.

We tried out some Western Pleasure, and didn't too too shabby, either. (found out last weekend that we won the high point at ou first western show.

LOL, kinda sad since we were up against all these adults and their fancy WP qh's....)

Wow, sounds like you might be getting almost as much of a workout as Mona...lol. Are you going to do anymore WP w/ her in the future? or just sticking to english?

I warned her that she's getting ridden again tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. LOL

I don't really know.... it was fun because we pinned well, but it just doesn't really "amuse" me. I just don't see the thrill in it all. Yes, it takes a TON of work, lol, but with the english you can at least go fast. (and that's what Mona likes to do better.
