I don't even think I could get my horse to DO that if I gave him all the food in the world....

Sad that so many top people think this is what you should be doing...

I can make Turbo do that for food.... LOL. Turbo would do anything for food...

Sad part #2: Did you see like four or five other riders doing the same thing...

Sad Part #3: Did anyone catch the horse kicking up at the rider's heel? Holy moly.

Sad Part #4: Dressage horses are supposed to be happy, happy, flashy ponies. Those ones look dull. All the presence of a king in rags and chains.

Okay...after being able to really watch this video on tv....what I see is a tack malfunction amplified by horrible rolkur.

What appeared to be a down pull on the curb which placed the curb over the snaffle.....I was able to use the zoom...the curb chain had gotten caught on the snaffle inverting the snaffle into the tounge while the curb pushes down...this happens when the side peices twist in a double bridle.

The rider did stop and adjust the bridle and the horses' tounge was back in his mouth.

Now....that rider...should have gotten off the horse...flatten the outer crown peice and moved the curb up a hole...and at that level...no reason he could not call a groom to properly fix the bridle for the horses' comfort....the chain is still uneven and twisted at the side only.

After that....Rolkur riding at its' best...which IMHO...is pretty bad as an example of Dressage.
