Blue Ribbon Saddle?

Does anyone have a Blue Ribbon saddle? I am considering one and was wondering about their quality and stuff? Any info I can have on them would be great! Thanks

How are they compared to some well know name brands...Crosby, Collegiate....etc

They have not been made now for many, many years.

They are OLD good quality saddles. Lol.

I used to have one that was from... 1970 maybe. It was a nice saddle, the leather was still gorgeous and comfortable enough to ride in.

I would watch out for the tree in saddles that old though... even if it is sound the shape of horses has changed - and the saddle may not fit quite as you'd like it to. Good luck!

Blue Ribbon gives an english saddle away every year at the awards banquet they hose. They're very nice saddles. The western are way over priced compared to Kathy's saddles but the workmanship IS good!

The Blue Ribbon CC saddles that the thread is regarding were made several decades ago in the UK. I am pretty sure this is not the same company that makes the high end custom western saddles in AZ, USA though the name is the same.

Here is a lovely example of one that is probably thirty years old but barely used:

18" Blue Ribbon CC English saddle - "The Prize" - LN - (eBay item 290168474502 end time Oct-17-07 08:17:41 PDT)
