The last 24 hours for me have seemed like an eternity. Like... wow.

Last night, got a call at 12:15 from Minka, Pie's owner. I saw it was her calling and thought Odd, she isn't normally up this late, wonder why she is calling
I answer the phone and the first words I hear are "Emily, Pie is colicing"
Me, half not hearing her because she talked so fast, and half not understanding, went "What?"

Is going great so far!!

So, I got myself a new job at Panda Express, which, for those of you who don't know, is pretty much fast food chinese, but, it is REALLY GOOD!!

I started last week, and I'm picking it up pretty fast, learning how to do everything, clean up in the evening, serve the food, run the cash register, clean the store.

I really like the people I'm working with too, they are pretty fun and really nice

I am loving Fort Collins! So NOT bored anymore!

My room-mate (and Buddy's owner) Dayna plays Ultimate Frisbee with a bunch of other students. I love playing sports so I joined in and I'm starting to make some great new friends!

Tonight was our last regular summer frisbee game as school starts next week. So, we decided that today we would do a group BBQ after we played. We had a LOT of people show up! Normally we have 3 on 3, or 4 on 4, maybe 5 on 5 on a good day. Today...

I've got it, and I've got it bad.

It's all I can think about, dream about, speak about.

On the wall above the head of my bed is a picture of the Olympics rings from the Turin '06 winter Games.

I race home every evening to check the medal standings and read the news from my favorite sports. I've spent hours watch the live and full length replays of video that is online.

It's what is fueling me, I've cried with the athletes as they've received...

Day 4
After the excitement last night this morning saw the rise of a very sleepy group of troopers. The morning passed without incident as we went about our fatigue duties. I was assigned to help fetch firewood. Once we had completed that task KD and I spent our free time schooling our horses on linking up. Best to do it now than try it for the first time in the heat of the battle.

After lunch Boots and Saddles was called and soon the regiment was mounted for patrol. Our orders...
