I decided that if anyone wants to follow Blondie's story that I would put it in a Blog instead of a thread. This is something that will take a while to fix not a week or two and maybe not a month or two.

I expect ppl who leave comments to be nice if not I will ask the mods to intervene.

So here we go.

Today is May 26 and we got home Friday morning at 3 am. I have been exhausted from my trip down, because not only did we pick up Blondie we helped my best friend and her family move home.

Blondie tolerated the trip well and has settled into her new home wonderfully. Peyton knew it was his momma. He was so excited to see her (he doesn't get this happy over strange horses). There was not a moment of kicking or squealing.

Today I took a poo sample to the vet to have a FEC done on her so we can decide what type of worming program to put her on. I have not started playing with her feeds to much just yet because I don't want to throw a lot her way all at once. So for now she is on free choice grass/alfalfa hay, 4 lbs of beet pulp, 5 lbs timothy pellets and 1 lb of alfalfa pellets. As for supplements she is on DAC Yucca, and DAC Orange as well as DAC Oil.

She is scheduled to see the vet this Friday so that we can start with a clean slate with her. I plan on taking her to the feedlot scales tonight when the DH gets home so that we can get an accurate weight on her. This is something I plan to do every few weeks.

I am going to start taking pictures and recording weights on her so we can watch her improvments.
