Love the pretty pinky snaffle. The blue was really sparkly...can't say I like the blue. But definately the pink one.

Personally - I would NEVER buy it - I DON'T do anything pink (or purple - G-daughter has purple halter/lead shank/pad/brushes/buckets/etc. for Jelly but he is hers and she is almost 7 and purple has always been her favorite color - even before she could talk it was obvious) -PERIOD! To me - the little pieces of glass only make 'stuff' look 'tacky'. I might go for a little discrete engraving (I bought a new snaffle not long ago for Rague and Hubby that had a little engraving but all he ever does is 'pleasure ride') but not sure - I'm very traditional.

Im actually the same way. I think bling the way its been going is Ridiculous. The english snaffle (I saw) was subdued enough to still be cute/ discreet. The western bit/spurs ^ are essentially a gag, several ways. Rhinestones on shirts.. *heaves*.

I think that amount of bling is not meant for eveyone or for everyday. It is meant for someone who wants to stand out at some sort of equine theatrical production, or someone who is VERY much an individual and dances to the beat of their own drum. Maybe for a celebrity. Definitely NOT for the average Jane and Joe but for someone who bores with the mundane. Even that person will probably not use it everyday either, but just for special occasions. But I definely can't see a typical Bubba riding around doing farm chores with that bit or those spurs everyday.....Unless his name is Pat Parelli Then again, I coulld see Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie using that sort of thing for their horses everyday!

So i think it should be available for those who want it or have a parade or something where they want to sparkle. After all, variety is the spice of life. What floats one person's boat might drown the next.... and vice versa.

I would definately sport some sparkle. I don't show, only pleasure riding and eventually (hopefully) parades. I'd love that in a parade to draw attention and make non-horsey people say "oooh shiny".
