| Senior Member+ | Blind horse gets second chance at life
I just heard the most moving story and thought I'd share... My mom is an RN and works w/ a doctor up at the hospital who rescues animals. Well not too long ago he rescued a completely blind horse who was going to be taken to the slaughter. A couple of days after that he rescued a orphan fawn. I'm not exactly sure how it happend but the fawn and the horse ended up together and are now inseperable companions. The horse follows the fawn during the day while they graze and follows him to water and they bed down together every night, and b/c the horse is there the fawn is safe from any predators. They fit together perfectly as a team. I wish I had a picture to show you... I know they had an article about it in a local paper and if I could figure out which one they might have the full story on the internet.
