I haven't made up my mind what were are going to do with the foal for exactly that reason (I think it will be very marketable.) Even knowing nothing about Blaze, knowing the pedigree of the stallion tells me a lot of what this baby could be. We may keep it, we may sell it. You never know!

I do have to admit that I am breeding my Mini mare this year. She is grade, but, actually, somewhere, she is registered All of her info was lost in a house fire before I got her, and I don't even know what her reg. name was. So, now she is grade But, I want another Mini, and I don't find as many rescue Minis as big horses. So, I am going to make my own It will grow up with the petting zoo and eventually be a leadline or cart pony.

There is a particular Haflinger stud that shows some minimal splash charactereistics that I am very tempted to breed Blaze to. He is registered. It just so goes against everything I preach, I feel like such a hypocrite for even thinking it!

Hey... I don't know if you know this or not, but I just wanted to comment that a foal out of Blaze by a registered pure Welsh would be registerable with a pretty marketable registry. If the foal was cute enough (of course it would be as nicely refined as she is and what Welshies throw) it could be highly marketable and I bet you personally would LOVE the cross.

I know of no less than 5 AWESOME Welsh stallions that are very likely to be homozygous splash.

(A Halfy with splash characterisitics, particularly if it ended up being a loud HZ type, could be a very fun horse.)

She has mroe recent photos of this guy that she has not posted yet, but suffice it to say thins guy is filling out FABULOUSLY. He is an awesome stallion and is really well bred. A half by him could be verrrrry popular.

I didn't know that it would be registerable I have looked off and on for a possible registry for the foal she is now carrying... But I can't seem to find anything that is really worth it and not just a waste of money.

Even though I have absolutely no history on Blaze's parentage, it would still be registerable?

You should see the new photos. He is phenomenal.

Yes... as long as one parent is registered pure Welsh, you can register the foal. Same with Arabians. Want to see a GORGEOUS obvious splash that could ALSO be registered with a VERY good registry?:

and his remarkable son:

Those are remarkably well bred QUALITY stalliosn that would get you a registerable foal likely with LOTS of splash.

You, my dear, are a bad influence on me! LOL, now the wheels are turning...

Now just try to find me a remarkable stud that is in the state of MI!
