No way, no how. Baby is still kicking. I think I am going to give the vet a call and see wht he says tomorrow, I still think she is fine, but man is she huge! SHe has a little bit more of a bag, but not much.

Honestly, I have no educated guess. My intuition tells me that she probably bred sometime in May. That would put her foaling date in this month. The reason I think that is because she was pasture bred, and if she bred "naturally" that would be about the time frame for it. About the only peice of useful information that I got out of her previous owner was that she is always really big when she is in foal, and that was why she was never fully broke. They said she gets too big for a saddle, lol, and I can SEE that! I did send a pic to her previous owner about a month back. The woman made no comment other than that she looked good, so I am assuming that she was not shocked to see how large she was.

She really isn't a tall mare, and I think that is half the reason she looks so darn large. She is only about 13.3HH. The stallion she was bred to was about 14.3, so he was not an overly tall horse either. I just don't know. When she was palpated back in November? (I think, or late October) the vet said that there was definately a foal there, but that he could not tell for sure how far along she was.

I am starting to get a little nervous, especially after what happened to the mare at Haas's place the other day, but I guess I am going to just have to hope and pray that everything turns out all right. I will do everything that I can to ensure that she foals safely, and I know that her previous owner never called a vet all the times that she foaled, so that is more of a chance than she ever had. She wasn't even confirmed in foal when I got her, which was why I had her palpated. I wanted to know FOR SURE, lol.

So, we will all have to wait and see.

hmm...so you're getting nervous?
Go ahead and call the vet if you are really ******** out. I personally wouldn't really start worrying until maybe the very end of this month...

Ha ha ha, look at all the predictions on the first post! We originally thought this big girl was gonna foal back in February!

Maybe Kim was right, lol, and it will be the end of this month. There have been no major changes in her bag or her size lately. I think now her body just needs to get into foaling mode.
