I am hoping her baby looks just like her, blue eyes especially

As you can all see from the pics, part of my paddock runs right up around my house. I like it that way, actually, because I can look out one of 6 windows and see exactly what the horses are doing. Right as I was getting ready to walk out the door to head to school, I hear this god-awful sound like an earthquake and there goes Blaze tearing past the living room. I was like, "OMG, I didn't know you COULD run!" It was too funny, all of them were running around, bucking and having a good old time. She was certainly breathing heavy afterwards!

It was good to know that she still feels good enough to play a little bit

Nice to see her have her own thread! I have been reading your comments on other threads. Wow, she is a BIG momma. I will have to put my guess in also, ummm, Feb. 22.

Good luck and look forward to seeing pics of him/her.

I also forgot to mention that I emailed Blaze's former owner, and I got a response! *gasp* I got a response from them once before when I was asking for info on the stud, but they "couldn't remember" any of his info other than his name, had sold him and didn't keep any records Don't breeders usually keep info on stallions that they have bred mares to?

She has had at least five foals that they could "remember." Two were fillies, Kansas and Mia, and one was a stud colt but they could remember ever giving it a name The other sexes also were not remembered. There could have been more, up to ten

She said that she was glad that Blaze was working out for me and looking so good (I attached a pic) and was glad that I "had decided to keep her." Why in the world wouldn't I have?

Sometimes I wonder...

She's cute! I love this time of year. So many new foals!

As for when I think she'll foal, how about February 21st?

Even though the baby won't be registerable, it will eventually be my daughter's 4H horse, so it needs a snappy name, right? LOL. If it IS born on the 20th, I am planning on naming it Blazing Eclipse

People are ignorant. When I got Sheba's Mom..I asked about previous foals, the stud, etc.

They gave me vague answers. Im pretty sure the foal before Sheba died on the property. I'm glad we got Misty home with us and on a proper diet before she gave birth to Sheba.
