ACC do you work for a company or are you self employed ... I could see myself doing something like that but QH ...
If the mare was not shown how is she black typed? Her offspring could be black typed if they are shown and that would then make her a producer...

Make sense?

No, luckily I am not self employed. There are companies that do similar things within the QH industry.

Looking at the pedigrees if their dam and sire were shown they are black type ...My mare's dam and sire were both shown and produced ...my mares foals are not black type because she was not shown herself .... am I wrong ?? I was looking through 2008 stallion book and several stallions have not been shown but they carry a black type pedigree because both parents were shown ...??? The stallions that are like this will be in the same boat as my mare .. Examples look up .. Blessed Twice ,Cats Lone Star,Grays Jay , all say Black Type Pedigree none of these have been shown but their dam ,sires have been ..??? My mare is by Freckles Playboy out of a Peppy San Badger mare .. her dam was shown and produced ...
one of my guys is out of this mare by Sr Instant Choice(he is black type )but my guy's pedigree would not be black type because his mom was not shown .. she black balls his pedigree ...is that correct

I do not have time to look them all up but the stallion Blessed Twice is a producer so that is why he has black type... http://www.qhnstallionregister.com/q...r/2008/?pg=155

What is the name of your mare?

I looked up Cats Lone Star and do not see any reference to black type... What am I missing? http://www.lazyn.com/catslonestar.htm

On Grays Jay.... you have to read it carefully and they wanted you to do exactly what you do... read it as being more than it is... If you read the pedigree... You will see it is a "black type pedigree" which is correct... it does not say the horse in question actually has black type. http://www.conner-ranch.com/rgetdata.php?id=558

That was my question, what is a Black Type Pedigree... he carries a black type as well as my mare .. Cats Lone Star ..Look in your 2008 stallion registery he has not been shown and it is stamped Black Type Pedigree ....
My mares "foals" does not carry a Black Type Pedigree because his mother was not shown .. other wise he would carry black type pedigree as well..
Looking at the mares own pedigree she carries a black type pedigree ...
????
my mare ..her foal

Is that correct ???

Both those pedigrees have black type on them. The horse itself does not have black type but there is black type on the pedigree.

The marketing on Cats Lone Star in the Registry is identical to that on the Web Site for Grays Jay. The horse itself does not have black type but the pedigree does.

I suppose if you wanted to market your mare and your offspring as having black type pedigrees you could ... it is just a marketing ploy used often for horses who are not performers but out of/by performers.

I am trying to understand what the point in all of this is?
