Any better photos of said horse?

I vote brown because of the flank... i know a horse in real life, who for weeks I thought was black until the sun caught him just right and highlighted the fawn on his flank and nose. but, for this horse... could be either, wish the photo wasn't so bright/tad over exposed!

Other photos pretty much only show the same thing. I SEE the brown... what I'm wondering is, is it possible for a black to have this?

Sometimes he looks black as night... save for the flank:

Can't find anything on his face on my monitor:

I swear I see a brown tint to the muzzle somewhat. It isn't as vivid a brown as Kaden, the Thoroughbred that Talia has, per say. But I swear I see it. I say brown or not a true black and fades.

I wonder if this is where "sweat fade" comes in.

Could it be a VERY faintly expressed case of pangare on black? I don't know...He looks SO black. Or a thin coat?

I want to see his face with a winter coat on it-- maybe he is one of those browns like my fine-haired TB mare whose faint bit of gold above her nostrils and behind her eyes and along the rim of her flank-skin shed off in the summer to show the black skin underneath, making her look convicingly black for several months of the year.....?
