Bitless Bridle

I just read about this...

http://www.bitlessbridle.com/

Check it out!
Besides it's hefty pricetag ($119.95 for the headstall WITHOUT the reins.), it looks like a purty nifty gadget.

Your thoughts?

Meg

I have one that I'm planning on selling. I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it. Romeo actually seems to prefer the bit to any of the bitless options I've tried, other than a halter or nothing at all

They are nice, well made bridles. And I know there are people out there who've found them useful. Personally I don't find it anymore effective than my jumping hack/sidepull.

I'm not sure if you show but if you do you would still need another bridle for that as the BB's aren't approved for most shows. So that's something to consider.

I have a Dr Cook's bb and I really like it. I use it exclusively on one of my older horses.

I originally got it because I didn't want to do harm while learning how to use my hands lightly with the bit.

I no longer need to use it, but, my older horse prefers it over the bit it seems.

I use one for trail riding and LOVE it! I have a mock up in biothane. You can buy one very similar in mechanics from Moss Rock Endurance.

Hey Preppy, which size and color do you have? My old biothane one has seen better days, lol.

I have one, I have the Nurtural Bridle, it is similar to the Dr. Cooks but it has this wierd thing called the circle x under the chin that is suppose to keep the reins crossed and in place. I finally cut it off yesterday after another member emailed me and told me that they did it and it worked much better. The reins stay even and I think it is much more sensitive.

I love it, I still use a bit about once a week but it's great. I bought the nylon one for 63.00 and the reins for 18.00. You can also look on ebay.

Ooh pooh! I need black and cob or horse size, lol. I'm sure if you list it on eBay you'll sell it quick though. They never go cheap!
