Bit of Good... Lot of bad.(Update on 2008 rescues, and now 2 new rescues)

Any body remember these girls from last September?

Can you believe that this is them, 11months later?

Now, for the bad... These were brought to CLOUDNINE'S farm last night... She was able to take in the horses in the best condition out of the bunch, due to not having any stalls open, so they had to be able to turned out on Grass-- The others that were taken from this place are in much worse shape, we've been told

Grass

And the 2nd one..

And GRASS!!!

Dear lord....

Your first two horses look amazing, you know that, we all know that; such an evident and compelling improvement.

The last two break my heart, make me nauseas.
The face on the last gelding(?) posted especially.

Incredibly sad, and I can only imagine what that fellow has seen in his/her life time

My friend and the lady that owns the farm, took them in. She actually owns the 1st two now, and is just fostering the 2 that she just got last night. The 2 new rescues, break my heart. It is sickening. And what is even more sickening to me, is knowing there are others that are in much worse shape than the 2 she got were. They are both mares, btw. And yes, I have to agree with the face on the 2nd one, its heartbreaking.

Shame your not closer to VA... They'll need homes, if they're signed over to animal control.

The last 2 came from another farm. There were more than those 2, actually got a 3rd one at the barn but haven't been able to get pictures of her yet. She's not in as bad of shape. There are many others that were @ the farm they were taken from. All were seized. But the barn I ride at could only foster 3. It was a breeding facility they came from. The hearing is on Wed. A lady that boards at the barn, took in 2, that were in much worse shape, bc she had stalls available at her farm. But b/c there were no stalls available at the farm I'm at, they sent the best ones to her, and the ones that were cleared by the vet to be turned out on unlimited grass. The others went to places that could control grass intake, and be stalled. They haven't stopped grazing since they were turned out. That lasts ones face breaks my heart. They don't have names yet.

Faith and Charity (the 1st 2) were seized the end of last September. They were fostered and adpoted by the farm that I ride at. Its hard to believe that 11 months ago, we weren't even sure if they'd survive, and now they need to go on a diet they're so fat. You'd think they were pregnant

Update from Cloudnine

All three mares are doing very well! If I could keep them, I'm sure they would look like Faith and Charity in no time! These new girls have hardly raised their heads out of the grass!! :O They have figured out to come get grain when we call for them tho All three girls look about the same- I would body score the bay and the paint as 2's and the black mare as 1 (just my opinion )

Thanks for letting everyone know about them, Hopeful!
