I was just looking through a site that answers color questions and came across this! I thought you might like it Dear Prism, I wish to breed a tricolor tobiano mare with a black Friesian. Also a bay overo mare to the Friesian. What are the chances either foal would be colored? – Linda Dear Linda, Approximately 50% chance that the mares would pass the “Paint/Pinto” gene to the foal. If the Tobiano mare were homozygous for the Tobiano gene then you would have a 100% chance of “Color”. - Prism

cool, the only thing with my mare is she is not homozygous for tobiano, but she has several paint genes, tobiano, sabiano, ect....

I know after I posted this I realized she didn't answer the most important question... what colors might result? She seemed to know from other questions, maybe she just overlooked it
